new computer D:

Tue Apr 6, 2010, 7:01 AM

I got a new motherboard, processor, and monitor. its so much faster lol ;u;
i haven't tried the monitor out while coloring yet, but hopefully it will be better then my last POS one.
It's okay right now, i need to do  some adjusting but even with the brightness turned up it doesn't wash out the colors.  TuT
cutting this off short for now! ♥♥

How bout a ram and a graphics card? I'd figure those would add more to the color than any default mobo vid card. Especially if you're running anything higher than 1900x.

I'm working with lcds now and it is so hard to get the colors right on them! ;n; It's always too bright or too dull, or the blacks kind blend together.
I bought one of the lower-end lcd monitors that are advertised for graphics design, but it was still really expensive.
I don't have the money for a new video card, but that's on my to-do list. Right now i'm running pretty well tho. :) Photoshop pulls up in 2 seconds when it used to take almost a minute to load and it lagged. ToT
I bought xtra ram, but I probably couldn't play any computer games with my current vidcard, but i don't have time for anything like that so it's okay. XD

thanks!

Yea, graphics and editing is mostly a CPU thing, running different channels and layers and junk. A vid card would just leave more process stuff to the cpu and have the gpu handle everything being shown on the monitor. And that only matters when you're doing the really fancy rendering and video processing.
